Founded in a small coastal town of Cambria, CA, Vana Tisanes was started by Mike Coulson and Miho Watanabe. Together they craft the tisanes (aka herbal tea) in small batches, using organic ingredients and always with our consumer's quality of life in mind. Their sole goal is to share with the community the love that they have for the magnificent power of plants.
Moon Cycle / Period Herbal Tea
Traditionally, the keepers of herbal knowledge have always been women, so it’s natural to think women have probably been taking herbs to relieve menstrual disorders since humans first nibbled on leaves. Menstruation discomfort can surface in a number of ways. In fact, PMS is known to include a cluster of about 150 symptoms. The variety of herbs in Moon Cycle help to alleviate and regulate the most common of those symptoms.
We include diuretic herbs to help release fluid retention and a feeling of bloating. Antispasmodics herbs are invaluable for repressing painful menstrual cramps as well dilate blood vessels to relax muscles. Stabilizing herbs are great for regulating the menstruation cycle, by balancing the flow of menstruation and hormone levels. Lastly, the all-important calming herbs for balancing your mood.
Preparation:
1. Boil water to a temperature of 212 F
2. Measure 1/2 to 1 TBSP of herbs per cup of water
3. Put herbs into a tea infusion water bottle, french press, stainless steel infusion ball, or a reusable tea bag
4. Pour hot water over herbs and let them release their oils for 7-10 minutes, depending on your strength preference
5. Pour, drink, and circulate. Herbs may be infused up to 3 times.

Note* Caution is mentioned for safety reasons. This is definitely safer than eating a bag of highly processed potato chips from the supermarket.

They use the most environmentally responsible packing and shipping materials — their shipping boxes are made of 100% recycled materials while the protective wrapping is 100% biodegradable and recyclable.
Reuse:
Tea leaves are fully compostable. It can go back to nature as soil and be reused in planting new herbs. Along with reusable cotton tea bags are completely compostable, meaning it does not contain any plastic which is safe for health and the planet.
